Sprout is a non-profit organization focused on strengthening community through the local food system, art, and culture. In 2019, one of the staff members pulled a pair of carrots from her garden that had completely entwined around each other. What made them even more special was the colors: one was purple, the other yellow. Sprout strives to strengthen community while also celebrating diversity, and that pair of carrots perfectly represented the goals of their non-profit. She brought me the entwined vegetables and commissioned this drawing of them.
