While the Dala horse may be the most popular of the wooden animals produced in Dalarna, Sweden, Dala roosters and pigs are also commonly carved out of wood and painted in the same style as the dalahäst. But who has seen chicks colored like a Swedish dala rooster? “Not I,” said the cat.
Well, if a rooster can be painted in such a fanciful style, then surely the chicks that will grow up to be such impressive avians must be something special too. And who better to raise them than a motherly little red hen?
Giclée prints are printed on archival cotton rag. Inks are water based and free of Nickel, PFOS, PFOA and VOC’s, which are harmful to the environment and cause degradation of prints.
Prints are all matted; an 8×10 print comes in a mat to fit an 11×14 frame, an 11×14 matted print fits a 16×20 frame.
