Gallery Showing in Madison MN

For the whole month of November, my Scandinavian art is occupying the Madison Arts Council Gallery at the Madison Mercantile in Madison, MN. One of Madison’s claims to fame is that it is the Lutefisk Capital of the USA; thus, naturally, it has the world’s largest lutefisk statue. This coming weekend is Madison’s Norsefest, which includes a series of fun events:
Thursday, November 10:
Franz Allbert Richter Gallery opening and postcards filming event at the Madison Mercantile, 7-9pm (I’ll be there that afternoon and evening!)
Friday November 11:
Lutefisk and Lefse eating contests at the VFW (multiple divisions—this is a big deal!), 6:30 pm
Saturday November 12:
Norsefest Craft Show at the Elementary school, 9am-3pm
Scandinavian Art Fair at the VFW, 9am-3pm
Scandinavian Crafts for Kids & Photo booth at the Madison Mercantile, 3-6pm

At the gallery, which is located just inside the main doors of the Madison Mercantile, I have original drawings, matted prints, mugs, and cards for sale. Just about everything in my Gallery that is Scandinavian related will be there, but here are some examples of the art you’ll find there:

If you’re driving through or nearby, be sure to stop in and check it out!
